How We Started
Dr. Hunt started Sitka Animal Hospital in 1995 as a house call veterinary practice. He helped construct the animal shelter where his practice would soon be located. In 1996, he moved into the newly constructed boarding facility to share space with the shelter. The practice was an instant success!
Together we can give your best friend a happy, healthy life. Sitka Animal Hospital is a full service companion animal hospital. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.
We welcome you as an integral part of your pet’s healthcare team. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.
